Grand Prix Turkey is held on Istanbul Park also known as Istanbul Racing Circuit or initially “Istanbul Otodrom”. The circuit is located in Pendik at the east-site of the city on the Asian side of Istanbul. Inaugurated on 21 August 2005, Bernie Ecclestone called the Istanbul Racing Circuit the best Formula 1 race track in the world.

 

Istanbul Park has a total length of 5.3 km (3.3 mi) long, containing 16 corners and has a normal wide course. The Istanbul Park racing circuit is one few Formula One circuits that runs anticlockwise, the others being Interlagos circuit (used for the Brazilian Grand Prix), the Singapore Street Circuit (used for Singapore Grand Prix) and the Yas Marina Circuit (used for the

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix).

 

The circuit can accommodate 130.000 fans, which 25.000 can enjoy the action from the Main Grandstand. For vehicles there are 12.000 parking spaces. Istanbul Park has one of the most beautiful facilities with Grand Stand that offer great views to see the great action.
