The Japanese Grand Prix is held on the Suzuka International Racing Course better know as Suzuka Circuit, located in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, in Japan. Suzuka Circuit was opened in 1962 as testing groud for Honda Motors. It has a remarkable layout in shape of an 8 the circuit overlaps itself.

Suzuka Circuit can be divided in two parts, the east-side which contains the pit straight to the first half of the Dunlop curve and west-side with the pitlane located at the straight before the 130R corner. The overlap of the circuit is possible by an overpass.
