The Grand Prix Abu Dhabi is held on the Yas Marina Circuit located on the Yas Island, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Grand Prix Abu Dhabi was the second Middle-East race on the F1 calendar, first being F1 Bahrain. Yas Marina Circuit is the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and was opened May 2007.
Abu Dhabi was made as a different version of the Monaco Grand Prix also being a street race, made on the man-made Yas Island. The circuit contain 21 corners some of them being very tight followed by a few long straights. Similar to a few other circuits like Interlagos São Paolo and Marina Bay Singapore the race is run anti clockwise.
Yas Marina Circuit is 5.5 km long and has the shape of a pistol, the only thing is that the cars are not fired-out. Because anti-clockwise direction the Formula 1 cars seem to go back into the pistol instead of being fired out. The accommodation is one of newest circuits and is amazingly beautiful passing in front of the Yas Marina Hotel where most of the people stay during the Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.
